XTUDIOUS

How we use AI

Xtudious films are made with generative AI tools under human direction. Story, characters, editing, sound design and music are led by people, and every film goes through a full human finishing process.

We label our releases as altered or synthetic content wherever a platform asks for it. We only publish AI output that we are licensed to use commercially, and we keep a record of the tool, plan and licence behind every asset.

Copyright & ownership

All films, trailers, scripts, characters, worlds, artwork, music and sound design published by Xtudious are owned by Xtudious or used under licence. All rights are reserved.

That includes the characters and worlds themselves. Sequels, prequels, spin-offs, series, translations and merchandise based on our films are reserved to Xtudious.

Xtudious™, the X mark and our film and series titles are trademarks of Xtudious.

To be clear about what we do not claim: nobody owns a genre, a topic or an idea. Anyone is free to make their own fantasy film, their own dragon story or their own story about a mother. We only protect our own expression of them.

Fan use

We love seeing what our audience makes. Here is what you can do freely, what needs a quick yes from us, and what isn’t allowed.

Go ahead

  • Share links to our official videos and pages.
  • Make reaction, review or commentary videos that use short clips and credit Xtudious with a link to the original.
  • Make fan art, cosplay and fan edits for fun, credited to Xtudious, as long as you don't sell them or monetize them.
  • Quote short lines of dialogue in posts and discussions.

Ask us first

  • Any monetized use of our footage, music, characters or artwork.
  • Fan films, comics or stories set in our worlds that you want to publish commercially.
  • Using our clips or music in ads, sponsored posts or brand content.
  • Translations, dubs or subtitled versions of our films.

Not allowed

  • Re-uploading our films, trailers or music, in full or in large parts.
  • Publishing an unofficial sequel, prequel or “Part 2” that uses our characters or worlds.
  • Using the Xtudious name, the X mark or our film titles as your own brand or channel name.
  • Selling merchandise with our characters, titles or logos.
  • Presenting our work as yours, or removing our credit.

To ask for permission, write to rights@xtudious.com with the work you want to use, how you will use it and where it will appear. Official licences are often possible.

Report a copy of our work

If you see our films, music or characters used without permission, please tell us. Send the link, the date you found it and what was copied to rights@xtudious.com.

How we handle it:

  1. We record the evidence and check whether our actual work was copied. Similar ideas or the same genre are not infringement, and we don’t act on them.
  2. For re-uploads and copied clips, we ask the platform to remove them. First-time uploaders usually get seven days to take it down themselves.
  3. For unofficial sequels or brand use of our names, we contact the creator directly first and offer a licence where it makes sense.
  4. If the use continues, we file formal takedown notices on every platform and involve our legal counsel.

If you think we used your work

We take rights seriously in both directions. If you believe something we published uses your work without permission, write to rights@xtudious.com with:

  • Your name and contact details, and the work you own.
  • A link to the Xtudious content and the exact part you are concerned about.
  • Where your work was first published, and when.

We will review it, reply within two working days, and remove or correct anything we are not entitled to use.
